If your kitchen is looking tired or you're simply bored with it and want to give it a new look, consider a quick, inexpensive and easy makeover with Plasti-kote spray paints.

This little kitchen area was plain and untidy before we got working on it. We started by taking the doors off and spraying them a rich Cappuccino brown. The fridge door was sprayed in Orange gloss. Both these colours are from the Plasti-kote Super palette of over 65 colours and finishes. All four cupboard doors and the fridge were completed in less than a day!

Inexpensive accessories to brighten up the surfaces included making herb planters from old soup cartons, using Plasti-kote Chalkboard paint. The wall art was made by covering an old canvas with some funky material from Ikea - the rest of which was used to make a curtain to cover the washing machine and a tea towel.

The lids of these Ikea storage jars were sprayed using the Orange gloss, as was a shelf above the sink. Adhesive letters spelling OIL were stuck on an old beer bottle, which was sprayed orange. When dry, the letters were removed and a pourer added making a very useful oil bottle. Plasti-kote Super Orange Gloss was also used on some dried allium heads to make a striking display in a black vase - also sprayed using Plasti-kote Super in Black Satin.
