Don't pass by your local junk shop without taking a second look at what's on offer. With a keen eye and a can or two of Plasti-kote spray paint you can pick up a bargain and create individual pieces of furniture for a few pounds.

Pictures above from left to right:
- These 1970s dining chairs were spotted outside an animal charity shop - £10 for four. Sprayed them with Plast-kote Super Warm Grey and covered them in some stylish fabric from Rapture & Wright, the chairs would now grace any dining room.
- Traditional honey pine chairs picked up at the local market for just £7 each and sprayed in Plasti-kote Super Butterscotch, Everglade and again Warm Grey gave these chairs a real lift. They would serve another ten or more years' hard wear in a kitchen and when you get bored with the colour, just change it!
- The pink retro chair looked very different when we found it at the dump for just £2. We did away with the perished vinyl seat pad and used some Laura Ashley fabric complemented by Plasti-kote's Super Cameo Pink on the frame for a classic country look.

Plasti-kote spray paint is fast, easy to apply and is touch dry in under an hour. No brush marks, no splodges - just a great professional finish in no time.

Plasti-kote Super spray paint comes in over 65 different colours and retails at £5.49 for a 400ml can, available from all leading DIY stores. For more information, visit www.plasti-kote.com or call
